It's a time for remembering. Remembering whose Christmas presents are left to buy, who has to come in for their check-up before the holidays, but for our much-loved dental nurse, Debbie, this time of year is a time to remember her dad, Edward James West, otherwise known as Ted.

This year, to commemorate her father, Debbie and her tech-savvy husband have spent months researching and compiling memories and photographs for a special website, dedicated in memory of Ted and his service to his country.

We find that the remembering gets harder each year, with events both foreign and domestic demanding so much attention, it's hard to take the time to look back and to appreciate each of those men that lost their lives, or like Ted, lost great chunks of their youth to the grueling world of prison camps. Family men, sons and fathers-to-be. Each with their own journey, each experiencing their own war.
